Help support the 'A HEART FOR NOAH FOUNDATION', give a wreath crafted of boxwood from the historic home of Franklin Buchanan. Appointed a midshipman in 1815, Buchanan rose to be a commander in the U.S. Navy in 1841. He was chief adviser to Secretary of the Navy George Bancroft in planning the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and was its first superintendent (1845-47). Each wreath comes with a brief story on Buchanan's naval career and, if selected, a beautiful holiday gift card including your personalized message.
10% of proceeds goes to help the Thyberg family (Daniel '12/6) cover the out of pocket cost of anti-rejection medication for their youngest son Noah who had a heart transplant in September of this year.
To make these wreaths, we gather boxwood cuttings from the historic Buchanan home through our Sustainable Harvest Program that enhances the health of the boxwood plants. Quantities are limited as part of this program.
